As of 9:00 am this morning the all-new G Suite platform is live companywide! From this moment, if you need to send or receive email, you will need to immediately do one of two things:

  1. Come into your office to have office G Suite Champions set-up your devices on the new G Suite Platform.
  2. Visit to activate your new email account. Once you are on, sign in with your email address.

The default password to get into your email is Welcome123!. After you sign in, you will immediately be asked to create a new password.

If you already have a personal Gmail account, click your profile pic in the upper right corner of that account, and then click “Add Account”. From there, just follow the same login instructions as above.

Once you are set up on Gmail, and ready to start sending and receiving emails, be sure to check out these useful tips to make using this new platform as efficient and enjoyable as it can be.

Switch to the “New Gmail”: The new gmail provides a more visually pleasing and user-friendly experience. To switch to the new Gmail setting:

  1. Click the ‘Settings’ gear icon at the top/right of your Gmail inbox
  2. select “Try the new Kansas City Homes Mail” from the drop down

Create an Email Signature:
  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ gear icon at the top/right of your inbox
  2. Select ‘Settings’ from the dropdown menu
  3. On the next page, Click ‘General’ and scroll down to Signature
  4. Click the button next to the text box
  5. Type your signature, and use the format toolbar to add font styles, colors, images, links, and more.

Whitelist Messages Marked as Spam: If Gmail has marked emails you wish to whitelist as spam, you can tell Gmail the emails are not spam:

  1. In Gmail, navigate to the spam folder
  2. Search for emails containing the domain you wish to whitelist (eg
  3. Select all the emails shown
  4. Click ‘Not spam’

Unthread Your Conversations in Gmail By default, Gmail groups messages together basedon a common thread or topic. If you don’t like this view, can turn it off:

  1. Click on the ‘Settings’ gear icon at the top/right of your inbox
  2. Select ‘Settings’ from the dropdown menu
  3. Scroll down to the Conversation View section (stay in the “General” tab).
  4. Choose Conversation view on or Conversation view off
  5. Click Save changes at the bottom of the page

How many of us are talking to our tech on a regular basis?

Ken Olmstead at the Pew Research Center recently highlighted the fact that nearly half of U.S. adults (46 percent) say they use voice-controlled assistants and applications to interact with smartphones and other devices.

Just over half (55 percent) say “a major reason” they use voice assistants is to permit hands-free interaction with devices. Read complete article.

During their latest Lunch and Learn, agents from the Plaza office attended an interactive cooking demonstration sponsored by the Roth Learning Center on the Plaza. They took part in the hands-on expeience and cooked using the latest technology from Wolf, Sub Zero and Cove appliance. Besides being really fun, it gave them beneficial knowledge about top-of-the-line appliances that they can now share with their clients.
